Henry Ford quotes page 1

July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947; Henry Ford was a renowned American industrialist and inventor. Ford is perhaps most known as the founder of Ford Motor Company and for his involvement in the creation of the assembly line. Because of Ford's assembly technique, he was able to manufacture parts for his motor company in mass production and Ford was able to create a vehicle that could be afforded by middle class America. The result of which was, for the first time in history, the car was no longer an object of unattainability for all except the wealthiest in the United States, but instead transformed the motor vehicle into an affordable convenience that would help define the landscape of the 20th century. Ford's business model would someday become the most common and successful in modern consumerism. In fact, this business model became known as Fordism: mass production of parts at an inexpensive rate and a high wage for his workers. Ford worked throughout his career to continue to lower his company's cost of production. This, coupled with his ever rigorous work ethic, made it possible for Ford's Motor Company to spread to new locations throughout the United States and onto several countries spanning across six continents. Due to his success as a businessman, Ford became one of the most wealthy and renowned people in the world during the early 1900s. After his death, Ford left the company, indefinitely, to his family and his wealth to the Ford Foundation.

I adopted the theory of reincarnation when I was twenty-six. Religion offered nothing to the
point. Even work could not give me complete satisfaction. Work is futile if we cannot utilise
the experience we collect in one life in the next. When I discovered reincarnation it was as if
I had found a universal plan I realised that there was a chance to work out my ideas. Time
was no longer limited. I was no longer a slave to the hands of the clock. Genius is experience.
Some seem to think that it is a gift or talent, but it is the fruit of long experience in many
lives. Some are older souls than others, and so they know more. The discovery of
reincarnation put my mind at ease. If you preserve a record of this conversation, write it so
that it puts men's minds at ease. I would like to communicate to others the calmness that the
long view of life gives to us.
Henry Ford

Don't find fault, find a remedy. Anybody can complain.
Henry Ford

Most people spend more time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them.

rise to the stars. With it, there is accomplishment. Without it there are only alibis.

the wind, not with it.

setbacks and griefs which we endure help us in our marching onward.

I will build a car for the great multitude. It will be large enough for the family, but small
enough for the individual to run and care for. It will be constructed of the best materials, by
the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise. But
it will be so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one - and
enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God's great open spaces.
